That is about the same age difference I had with my first and second children. I love/loved it!
Definitely difficult in the first three months, but I can't imagine doing it with a long wait between, it just doesn't make sense to me... Hence number three already on the way as well!

Same here! The transition was surprisingly easy going from one to two for me. It was much more difficult to be pregnant and have a baby than to have two outside babies.
It was great because DD1 was getting into independent play when DD2 was born. I put her in a baby-proofed area and she didn't care that I was BFing or holding the baby. She was too young to really be jealous.
That is how old our DD1 was when we found out we were expecting #3 (We also have a 3.5 year old son). It was a surprise for us, but we felt the same way...excited & nervous.
I'm new to this too, so don't have any advice, but will be reading this one now that DD2 is almost here. I'm starting to get anxious about our daily schedule. I know it will be survival mode, but any insight to management will be great help!
It will be crazy for a few years....it goes sooooo fast...my girls are 14 mos apart & they are best friends now.....they are 4 & 5 & play wonderful together...yes, they fight, but overall, I wouldn't trade it....I was really nervous at first.....it's kind of like having twins, everything will be twice.
