What makes a "good liner?" I was recently told I shouldn't just pop a garbage bag into a trash can and empty in to the washer because it isn't the best for the dipes.
I have a 20 gallon flip top garbage can... should I just accept its not going to work now?

Re: About these pail liners
I would say the liner should be PUL. I think our trash can is a 13 gallon, and the liner we have fits, I don't think it would fit larger. BUT you can totally just buy PUL and if you've got a sewing machine or know someone who does, it would be totally easy to just sew one (I'd actually be sure to have 2, so hopefully you've always got at least one clean AND dry. My liner has an elastic top, but you could probably do a drawstring (which would be easier to sew). but yeah, even if you don't sew, it would be totally easy for someone who does any regular sewing to do, you'll just want to be sure the bag is a bit bigger than needed, esp. if doing a drawstring. you could totally use a garbage bag for a loose pattern.
On the other hand, just be sure you know how many diapers you really want to wash at once (you prob. don't want to pack your washer)--my concern with a really large pail would be not having to wash diapers frequently enough, but that's really more a factor of how many diapers you have anyway.
I have this one from Kanga Care - https://www.kanga-care.com/Kanga-Care-Pail-Liner_p_119.html
I have it in a 10 gallon trash can, but it's really big in there. I think it could work for a 20 gallon size, although you really shouldn't need one that big. I can fit 2 days worth of diapers in the 10 gallon size.
