Q for csection moms

I know there is a csection board but I figured everyone here is close to the timing I had mine. My baby will be 3 weeks old on Friday. Is your incision flat already? My Dr just took my tape off yesterday, so I am just now really getting to see my incision. I am worried its too flat and that it could be a sign it has pulled apart a little? It's also pink/light red. I can't remember if it looked like this yesterday, as I did not really study it. I have had two csections before and I remember my incision being a small bump at first and as time went on it laid flat. As far as the coloring I know pink would be normal, but it just seems a little too raw looking. I also think my pain level has gone up over yesterday and today, but it could be in my head. I might call my Dr tomorrow, but I know all they'll say is come in so we can see it, and my Dr's office takes like 45 minutes just to get to. So it would be pretty annoying to go there over nothing.

    This was my 3rd c section also and DS will be 3 weeks tomorrow. My dr decided to make a whole new incision this time. He cut a good couple inches above my previous scar and he cut wider. I got an infection after I left the hospital and my scar is super ugly. I have never been self conscience about my previous scar but this one bothers me. It's very raised and uneven looking. It's still pinkish and I only have a couple steri strips left on it.

    I am sorry you had an infection. Has that cleared up for you? That really stinks that you got a new incision. I wonder why he did that. I am sure it'll look much better as time goes on, it's only been 3 weeks plus it got infected. I am sure it'll flatten out a lot. Mine seems scary flat for only being 3 weeks out, I am so worried it means its pulling apart.

    Thanks! Yes the infection has cleared up and I've been pain free for a few days.

    I'm 4 weeks post op and my incision is a flat pink line. One edge is redder where I had a suture that was poking out and rubbing. I got that removed yesterday. All my dermabond the glue is off now too. I know that certain clothes make it more irritated than others. Do you have any discharge from it? If so I'd definitely go in. If not, maybe just keep an eye on it? So easy around the remainder of the belly, right?

    I was wondering if my clothing could be bothering it. Since I just got the tape off yesterday, it was the first day anything got to rub on it. My cut is so low it's impossible for my underwear not to hit it, so I can't really avoid clothing rubbing it. It's not leaking, it leaked yellow fluid 4 days after my surgery but that was it. My Dr did check it out on the day it leaked and said it can be normal and mine looked fine.
