Ovary cramps

Are ovary cramps normal? I'm not having severe like period cramping but the ovary that I usally feel my period in is just sore. And not to be gross, but I keep feeling like I've started but when I check, nothing. I'm a little paranoid because I had a miscarriage just a few months ago and this is my first pregnancy so I don't know, well, ANYTHING. Lol I'm only about 5 weeks which is when I had the previous miscarriage so I don't know if this is normal. It's pretty constant but like I said not severe, just sore. Any help is appreciated ladies. Thank you! Big Smile

Re: Ovary cramps

  • Cramps can be normal, especially the ones you are experiencing this time of the pregnancy...even some spotting from implantation can be seen sometimes. Because you had a recent miscarriage though, any symptoms you feel or see that you are uncomfortable with I would suggest you go to the doctor. My doctor used to tell me, first time mothers come in all the time and while it's usually nothing wrong it's better to be safe than sorry.

  • Omg I had a miscarriage at the begginning of April. I'm so glad there's someone who understands what I mean!! I'm nervous because I did have this feeling the last time. Soreness like I was going to start and then I woke up in the middle of the night with severe cramps and bleeding and miscarried naturally. It was awful and so painful, physically and emotionally. I didn't feel this way for this long then though. I've been feeling this for almost 2 weeks now I think. I'm not really sure what to think about it and the nurses and receptionists at my doc's office are helpful but busy so when I called the other day they really didn't take the time to address my concern. Do you think I should call again? I feel kind of bad being so pushy and paranoid but I dunno what else to do.  ??? Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid... Ugh.. I dunno.

P.S. It's funny that we're so close together in the miscarriage and conception. When is your predicted due date?

  • I experienced ovary cramps too. Some have even been super sharp pains.. but I was told as long there isn't bleeding it is all pretty normal. I am 12wks now and have found they have subsided greatly! Especially since this is your first your body just may be making all the adjustments for your growing uterus. I also have experienced a loss, mine was in January, so I totally understand being sensitive to all of our aches and pains.

  • Thanks! I did call my doctor. He did tell me not to worry and to just take it easy, rest, drink lots of fluids. He does want me to get some blood tests done tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. : Thanks for the advice!
  • I'm due around March 15th. That's fun that we're so close together on everything. It's such a relief to talk to someone who understands completely what I'm going through. I'm sorry to hear about you having to go 9weeks before you knew about the miscarriage. : Yahweh really spared me through mine but of course it was still really tough. I did take y'all's advice and called the on call doc. He assured me that it could be normal but is sending me for blood tests tomorrow to be sure all my levels are progressing properly. For now I'm just trying to relax and not stress so I don't make it worse. I'll be praying for you and your baby. : If you'd like I can give you my email address so we can chat a little more.
