What is the normal time frame in which they should be mailed out, for a baby shower?

    Depends when it is.  If it's summer time or a holiday weekend people plan vacations, so keep that in mind.  Personally I think a month in advance is a good amount of time.

    You are going to get a lot of different answers.

    Personally, for me, I would say 4-5 weeks is ideal.

    I have a young DD and I work all week so we really try to plan something special to do as a family every weekend (zoo, park, playdate with friends).  I appreciate the heads up.

    Also, some people are going to say that 4+ weeks out is wayyy to much notice because they are going to forget about the shower.  I have never understood that reasoning.  If I am invited to a shower and plan to go, I make it a point to remember, even if I have to put a reminder in my phone.

    A lot of people will tell you 2-3 weeks is fine; however, I believe they should go out 4-6 weeks ahead of time.  I, along with most of my family and friends, have their weekends planned out at least a month, if not two, ahead of time.  Getting a shower invitation last minute (a week or two out) is always frustrating for me.

    Thanks y'all! I was thinking about 4 weeks as well, to give people enough time to plan and take off work if they need to!

    My hostess mailed them out between 4 and 5 weeks ahead of the shower, so they arrived about 4 weeks in advance. I think it was pretty good timing, also a long weekend.
