My name is Lauren and my husband and I just dropped all of our paperwork off at DHS last week and took the first steps towards adoption. I have yet to see if there are any rules to this board or anything (I know the other board I have been on did). So, I will keep this short just in case. We have been married for almost 7 years and TTC for 6. After only two rounds of clomid my doctor told me there was not actually anything wrong with either of us and he had no idea why we were not pregnant. The clomid made me VERY sick so I stopped that and spent the next 6 months trying to figure out how to feel better mentally and physically. Now we are on a path towards adoption. We always knew we would adopt we just thought we would have biological children then adopted children in that order...what is the phrase? You tell God your plans and He laughs? Well that is what happened. We are so excited to take these first steps and I would love any advice you can give me about the process. I am doing my own research for sure but I know if you have been through the process at all you have tips on things to do and things to avoid. Thanks so much y'all!
Re: hey y'all
welcome
We adopted our beautiful kiddos from foster care following an IF battle and now, being on the other side of it all, i'm so glad it worked out the way it did!

Mother of two wonderful boys! Blessed through adoption.
After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption! We are so excited to see what the future holds.
