Is this normal?

My 5 month old is teething, starting last night she didn't want her bottle, she has a runny nose, a cough, and she has diarrhea.  I took her to the dr and she changed her milk and told to to make sure she gets lots of fluids. She has been drained for the last few days. Should I take her to the er to get fluids she is not drinking that much at home compared to what she is loosing? Did anyone else go through this?

    Those symptoms could all very easily be due to teething. Does she have a temp? Is her wet/poopy diapers still consistent prior to symptoms? I would not take my LO to the ER personally, but only because I have gone through it with DD1, and they really just told me to keep an eye, give tylenol and keep fluids up. I really didn't need to waste 300 bucks to hear it.

    Now, if her wet/poopy diapers are less than prior, I would at least call the nurse's station and give all symptoms, last feeding time, and current temp. They are a great help to get a feel of what to do. 

    GL, and I hope all goes well! It you feel at all uncomfortable or uneasy though, do what will put you at ease.

    Thanks. The diapers are the same and her fever finally broke. Hopefully today will be a day of fluids.
