Alright, so I'm seriously starting to get hysterical about this ....
For starters: We had our anatomy scan last week and everything looked PERFECT. We are having a gender reveal party on Sunday b/c I just can't not know.
Anyway. I was told I have an anterior placenta. Fine. No big deal. But I haven't felt the baby move in 24 hours and I'm freaking the flip out. I have never been so frustrated in my entire life. It's like one day I feel the baby all of the time, and then I'll go 24 hours and not feel anything. WTF. My doc said it's most likely b/c of the anterior placenta. Anyone else go through this?
itsmevkb let me borrow her doppler (thanks again!) and I picked up the heartbeat right away today at 150-160 bpm but because I'm crazy this hasn't given me much reassurance because I keep telling myself maybe I'm using the doppler wrong or something and well, have I mentioned I'm crazy?
I want to cry. I just wish this kid would move all day, every day so I could feel him/her.

Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
I had an AP and didn't feel movement until 24 wks and even then it was sporadic. Totally normal. I'm surprised you can feel movement so soon- so I wouldn't worry at all.
Even later on in pregnancy when I was 32 wks, some days I'd hardly feel movement.
Oh sweet Jesus. Do not tell me that (lol). This is going to be a loooooooooong few months if I can hardly feel this kid into week 30. Thanks for the reassurance though!
Exactly all of this. Lol. So sorry worry keeps you from enjoying this pregnancy to the fullest. With DS I was a mess the whole time too and worried about everything. It was not easy. I was told he wasnt a viable pregnancy in the beginning because his numbers werent doubling. Then from 8 to 18 weeks I had bleeding off and on weekly and many trips to the ER. Then when I finally felt him starting to move around 21 weeks it would be hit and miss. Finally towards the end of my second tri I felt less worried and then he was born 5 weeks early and spent time in the NICU. All this to say I hear ya about the worry. Maybe make little milestones along the way to help like looking forward to the big reveal party. I know its easier said than done. Also I would drink something with lots of sugar like sugar water and he would kick more. Hugs.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I had an AP and rarely felt my daughter. She is a 26-weeker, so I only really felt her a handful of times while I was pregnant. I'm pretty sure that had I been able to carry her longer and/or to term, I would've been able to feel her more.
GL! Try not to drive yourself TOO crazy.
We did a gender reveal party where we learned what we were having and it is super fun! I hope you have a great time!

I, too, have an AP and didn't feel definite movements until around 21 weeks. After that it was really sporadic until around 26 weeks and since then I feel her every day, but some days definitely more than others. Her "lazier" days always get me a little worried and I pull out the doppler just for reassurance. I've read a lot about other women feeling like there baby is like a 'gymnast' or 'kick boxer' in utero, but I'm now 35 weeks and I've never had any painful jabs or kicks. It just feels like she's stretching and pushing and most always in the same spot - my upper right side of my stomach. Every baby is just so different! Even though it's hard, try not to compare yourself and your pregnancy to others!
