FTM here...when giving infant Tylenol do you go by the weight or the age of the child? DS has been teething pretty bad (fever, fussy, gnawing like crazy) and I have been giving 2.5 mL. This is the dose for babies 12-17 pounds, 4-11 mos. DS is almost 19 pounds. For 3.75 mL, it's 18-23 lbs, 12-23 months. How does this all work?? The 2.5 mL seems to work alright but doesn't seem to relieve symptoms for the instructed 4 hours.
Re: Infant Tylenol Dosage Question
I'm a nurse in a pediatric ER, you go by the weight not age.
