TTC After a Loss

I'm back... but where's AF?!?

No PIPs yet, because I'm waiting to get our professional prints back. I will post them as soon as I have them, promise!!

Our honeymoon was amazing!! I learned the NYC subway system quickly, and we had a chance to see SO many amazing things. It was just heaven.

So here's my rant. We are officially switched to TTCAL (yay!!!), as soon as AF shows. She was supposed to get here between the 7th and 11th. No show. Still. I had like two swipes of spotting on the 10th. POAS on Saturday. BFN (which is expected since we were TTA). However, at this point I'm just confused. I'm wondering, could she have just not shown because of all the wedding stress I was under? If so, how do I begin my charting for O, with temps, etc? Do I have to wait until next month when the next AF shows to start? HELP! I feel like a newbie all over again :)

Missed you all!!!

Promise to PIP hoar so soon!

I'm so excited you are off of the bench!!!!!!! Stress definitely can mess up O.  You can start charting now (using the CD1 from the cycle you are still in) to just see what your temps are doing. You may just have a really delayed O going on.

  • Gah! You tease! I opened this, mobile, wanting to hear about and see pips from the wedding!

As for AF it is entirely possible that she is late due to stress. I along with some if my friends irl have had this happen. I would give it a few days and call your doc if she doesn't show by next Monday though.
As for temping ::shrug:: I don't know. I would wait until she showed before starting.
Edit, I did just think, do you know if it when you o'd this month? If not then it is possible that you od really late.
::facepalm:: I forgot to say WB!

Okay, I will start doing that. In terms of timing then, do I need to be acting like I would have in my 2ww? Or not worry about it? I just don't want to drink if that's a possibility.

  • Unfortunately cycles can be pretty wonky after a loss.  I didn't get my first true period until over seven weeks after mine, and I've heard of so many others who had weirdly long cycles immediately post-loss.  You could start temping now if you like, you might even catch the temp dip before AF arrives and then you'd know you're truly on to a new cycle.  Good luck and I'm looking forward to some pics! ((hugs))

My loss was over a year ago. The wonky cycle just came out of nowhere.

  • Hey Roxy, welcome back! Happy Wedding!

Definitely could be caused by stress, or also traveling. On the cycles I've had to travel my cycles have always been a bit off.
