Smallest carseats??

Hi ladies,
I already purchased 2 britax carseats for my twins upcoming arrival but when my dh tried to install them in our jetta h
E discovered they don't fit!!!! My lease is up as of September so we're looking for a safe not overly expensive small carseat to use in the meantime???
Any suggestions???

  • We have a Combi Coccoro for DS and love it! I'm seriously bummed he's about to outgrow it.

It's not an infant carrier though, it's. convertible. Not sure which kind of seat you're currently looking for.

  • We have a Tiguan, DH has long legs and our GracoSnug Ride 35 (in the base) barely fits. We have it set up in the middle seat because otherwise will hit the seat back. So if you have 2, it would not be an option.

Don't know if the 30s are any smaller... good luck and congratulations!

(By the way, we were out carlooking last summer 5 or 6 months before our last lease was up. We ran ran into our old sales person, test drove the newer model, and were torn between that and another brand ... told him the decision would be based on lease incentives, would not be making a decision until were closer to end of lease (or if there was a really good deal). Turns out VW wanted the used car for their lot because we got a call from the VW dealership a few days before the month ended to see if we wanted to lease the newer model and end the other lease early at no extra cost to us ... they ate the cost of the remaining payments and we got a newer model and didnt have to worry about car shopping later in the pregnancy or with a newborn in winter.)

  • You must have the Chaperones, they're nearly the biggest infant seats you can get. The BSafe is smaller. Since its twins you'll need something that fits low birth weight as well. Try the Chicco Keyfit 30 or the Cosco Comfy Carry Elite (has to be the Elite or you're stuck with rear adjust).

  • When are you due? Is it possible to trade in your lease a few months early? I mean really at this point it's only 2 months-maybe they'd be willing to work with you.

Some of the ones I"ve seen listed as smaller:

    Chicco KeyFit 30

    Cybex Aton

These may also allow for lower weight ranges.  You could check out the Car Seat Lady for more info... there is a ton of info there...

Also some of the Graco Snugrides but not sure the weight range goes as low.
