Can we talk about Max?

DH and I both like Max. Is It ok as a stand alone or do you think it's more of a NN?

I love Max and think it's fine as the full name.

I like Max.  Personally, I like long formal names with nn like Max, but if you're not a fan of Maxwell, Maximillian, or any other formal Max name, I think it works fine on its own.

I agree with this.  Our LO is Maxwell, nn Max.  We wanted a longer, formal name so he could make the choice in the future which one to use.  We actually call him Maxwell a lot more than we expected to.

I prefer it as a nn (Maxwell is really nice) but's still a good name on its own.

+1. Maxwell is ok, not a fan of Maximilian. Love Max! But then, I have a Grandpa Max, so I might be a little biased.

DH and I both like Max, but it flows better with our MN and LN to go with Maxwell. But I think we'd call him Max most of the time.

Max is fine as a fn. I like Max better than any of its longer versions. It is becoming extremely popular though.

I prefer it as a nickname for a longer, more formal name such as Maximillian or Maxwell. That being said, I think it is one of the few nicknames that can also stand alone. Good luck!

I knew a "just Max" growing up so I'm used to it not having a full name. I think it's fine on it's own.

I think it would stand fine on its own as a first name!

Maximillian was on the top of my list, but my husband isn't a big fan of it at all! :-(

I think its fine     I don't really care for any of the longer forms of it so would just use Max myself
