Our sweet little babies b/g twins made their appearance early last Tuesday morning, 7/9/13. After 37 hrs of hard labor, contracting every 2 minutes, and trying to birth them drug free i had not passed 9.5cm in hrs. We then tried a vacuum assist twice only for it to fail. Our final option was a csection due to baby a water braking 18hrs prior to the csection. At 2:27 baby a girl was born weighing 6lbs 6oz. Baby b boy followed at 2:28 weighing 6lbs 3oz. After the section my ob informed me that my pelvic shape does not allow for a vaginal birth. This gave me a little bit of encouragement knowing that all my hard work got me as far as I was able and that I was not "weak" for having to go against my desire for a natural birth.
Both babies are doing wonderful feeding and growing like champs : Despite being over tired, outrageously soar and having a sever tooth ach I could not be happier. We move into our new house in 2 weeks and I can't wait to be able to have life settle down so we can continue to prosper as a new family.
