sweet n low/ saccharine

Has anyone heard that is bad to use while pregnant? I drink tea sometimes and use sweetnlow opposed to sugar..just curious.

    I've read that this is the one to avoid. I've read that Splenda is okay in moderation, and aspartame is okay in moderation but saccharine should be avoided.

    I also have two pregnancy books written by MD's that advise against saccharin.

    This. I still use spelnda in my coffee and drink diet coke in moderation.

  • I would say no to pink and blue but yes to yellow.

    I think its a no no, ask your doctor if its your preferred sweetner.

  • My ob said to avoid sweet n low as much as possible. I am not a big fan of Splenda and I have used Equal for years. I cut back on the amount I consume now but won't cut it out completely.

  • I agree with PP - I believe saccharin (Sweet 'n Low) should be avoided since it has the ability to pass through the placenta. You should check with your Dr. though if you're concerned.
