how many pants?

i think truitt needs more pants but i don't know if i am just convincing myself of that to buy him more clothes. lol

really, though, he has 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of cords, 2 pairs of khaki cargo pants and a couple pairs of athletic style pants. i feel like i am doing his wash all the time b/c he doesn't have enough bottoms. he had probably 20 pairs of shorts over the summer, but i can't see him having 20 pairs of pants. shorts are plaid and bright colors and not as versitile in many cases as pants.

so, how many pants/bottoms do you have for your child?

Re: how many pants?

  • DD has three pairs of jeans, two pairs of corduroys, and two pairs of leggings.
  • Loading the player...
  • 2 pairs of jeans
    2 pairs of cords
    2 pairs of khaki pants
4 pairs of cargo pants (1 brown, khaki 2 green khaki, 1 brown)
6 pairs of carters sweat style pants
2 pairs of Old Navy sweat style pants

I have to admit that I bought the cargos and second pair of khaki pants because if you use a coupon you can get them at Old Navy for under $8 right now...  It seems like we are getting more stains lately even though I OxiClean stain spray EVERYTHING...  messy little man... He also gets lot fo hand-me-downs from a friend...

  • It must be different for a girl. Natalie just has one pair of jeans that she wears 2 or 3 times a week. Otherwise, she's wearing a dress with thick tights or BabyLegs. I do think I want to get a 2nd pair of jeans for her though, just for a little variety.

  • 2 pair jeans

    4 pair casual/cargo pants (2 khaki, 1 gray, 1 blue)

    1 pair brown pants

    train stripe overalls

    2 pair athletic/sweat pants

I need to move up a size on one pair of jeans, and I might get a pair of khakis or cargos.

  • Ummm, you can never have too many pants!

2 pair jeans (plus one more she's getting for Christmas)

    2 pair fleece

1 pair black velour "dress pants"

1 pair navy blue velour pants that came with an outfit

    3 pair leggings

And around 8 pairs knit stretch pants.

But I get a lot of hand me downs, so I actually only bought around 6 or so of these.

I also find that she goes through a lot of pants, often 2-3 a day because I let her do messy things and she goes to the park or outside even when the ground is wet and of course the first thing she does is sit down and get her heiny dirty and wet.

  • Addie has a ton of pants.

but only 3 pants (all jeans)  and one pair of overalls that fit right now.

  • Most of these were gifts or hand me downs, but Connor has

    3 pairs of jeans

2 pairs of khakis (one is cargo style)

    5 pairs athletic pants

    3 pairs sweat pants

    1 navy pant

    1 black dressy pant

And even with all of that it seems that he is always running out of pants!

  • Do you need more, probably not - but this is coming from the gal with way too much so keep that in mind :-) What Aidan has right now:

4 Pairs of Jeans (different washes, one pair are cargo style)

4 Pairs of Khakis (one dressy, one cargo, one navy and one olive color)

    2 Pairs of Cords

    2 Pairs Nike cotton warm-ups

6 Pairs of Carter's Cotton pants

I wash every Monday unless I need something for a special event mid-week. That is a mix of 9m and 12m sizing of what currently fits him, once some of the 9m pants get too small I may pick up a couple more 12m things.

  • Amelia has tights or leggings for about 12 outfits (coordinating)

She also has 2 pairs of courdoroy pants (she never wears) and 4 pairs of jeans...she also never wears.

I just prefer her in tunic tops and leggings, they're less bulky and she's less restricted in them than in her jeans.

She also has a zillion dresses...most of which have never had the tags removed.

  • Pleading the 5th on this one.

Suffice to say....the boy CLEARLY needs more pants if you ask me! LOL

that has been me for the past 22 months and i am trying to be smarter. not that i am spending less but i don't want the cold season to be over and realize he has 20 items with the tags still on like last winter. even just clearing out his summer stuff last week... he has these super cute turtle seersucker shorts from J&J. never worn. i would just rather have stuff be worn, so i am building sloooowly.
