PP Sex after --TMI?

So nervous to have PP sex after the delivery of our twins.  It's been 9 weeks, and I did get the OK from the doctor.  ( I had a vaginal birth.) Can anyone tell me if I should be worried? We waited about 3 1 /2 months after our DS was born.

  • Most OBs give the ok after 6w.  If your OB gave you the go ahead, I'm not sure there's anything to worry about...

  • Yes I know.  I should have phrased that question better.  I meant I'm worried, pain wise. LOL.
  • There shouldn't be any reason for it to be painful after 9 weeks.
  • It was painful. We used lots of lube but it felt like none.

My twins are two months today, we've done it three times. The third has been better, first two were pretty painful.

Ugh, this is what I'm afraid of! ha ha

  • For most people, the first time you have sex PP is going to hurt.

I don't think your experience this time around will be any better or worse than after your first DS was born. Probably better to get it over with so it can get better from there.

  • I'll be honest, sex kind of sucked for the first six months. In addition to the discomfort from the vaginal delivery issues I was also freaking exhausted. Plus I was EBFing and the hormones did nothing for my sex drive. But fear not! Now the sex is better than ever!

  • yeah, I won't tell you how long it was until we finally did. But, I might suggest that it would help if you spent time getting yourself in the mood (I'm not suggesting self pleasuring here, just to clarify ;)) :) By that I mean, sad as it feels to plan a time for sex...if you want the first couple of times to go more smoothly, it will help if your ready :) For instance, I found if I let my husband do the last bit of putting boys to bed, then I can would take a shower/ freshen up.  It really seemed to help me loosen up if  I added the 1st strike of lube myself (I like the moisture beads , forget the brand name) that I would insert right after the shower  and then lotion of legs/body. Right about the time I was 'ready for bed' my husband was done laying boys down and ready to jump in bed.
