Babies: 3 - 6 Months

I knew this would happen!

Day 2 of the woombie and our lo rolled over in it! FML it has been hell getting him down with one arm out! He's finally asleep but I should have out long sleeves on him! I'm to afraid to wake him though! I knew this would happen!

  • I just went cold turkey. DD was mad for maybe one night, but has slept deeper since.

Us too.  Her startle reflex completely went away after only one night of being swaddle-free.  Now she's in a sleep sack and really seems to love it.  We use an Aden & Anais one and a Halo one.  Both are great.  I dress her in a long-sleeve sleeper with the sleep sack over it.

Yup.  With DS1 we just did everything cold turkey.  It sucked for a few days with each transition but in the end it was a lot faster.  The worst was taking away the pacifier at 20 months but that was because in the middle of that transition he decided that he wasn't going to sleep in his crib anymore either.  We ended up doing the no paci and the transition to a toddler bed at the same time.

DS2 so far doesn't have any vices.  Has always hated swaddling and pacifiers.  I'm really digging this kid so far, LOL.
