Day of the stash critique....help a newbie :)

I just read through the other stashes listed, and mine looks nothing like them. Is this right? Am I completely off base?

I read some blogs, but still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing!

I plan on using disposables for the first week or so (until the meconium works out of her system) because I've heard it can really ruin CDs.

I plan on getting:
3 dozen OzyCozy Better Fit Infant prefolds (6-16 lbs)
2 dozen 14-30lb prefolds
2 dozen todler (25-45lb) prefolds
3 Flip one-size snap covers
4 Thirsties Duo size 1 snap covers
3 Thirsties Duo size 2 snap covers
set of 5 snappis (do I need these wtih prefolds? Some pictures have the diapers wrapped around, some just have them folded into the cover - I have no idea)

Is this enough? too much? Am I even registering for the right diapers with the right covers? The more I read, the more confused I get....sorry.

You've got all the same type of diaper (no all in ones, or pockets) which is fine, if you're happy with prefolds/covers.

you definitely need more covers. I'd say 6 nb covers. Thirsties size 1 didn't fit DD until she was about a month old.

I would recommend a few more newborn covers.

And pick a different brand to try out. That way if the Thirsties don't work, you have another one to try.

You can check out my recent blog post on my newborn stash but I bought similar things as you did. I've used different brands of prefolds and haven't seen much of a difference.
I did just buy a fleece soaker and a kawaii pn. I'm going to start with what I have and order more if needed. I usually buy from sweet bottoms baby and the shipping is really fast and free.

So the Flip covers won't work for NB? I thought they said they were supposed to. Anyone have a recommendation for NB cover brands/types?

Flips will be too bulky. My dd fit them at 8 weeks though. I have a bummis, rumperooz and thirsties for newborns. The rumperooz are the smallest.
