Hey, Im new here and found this site by googling. Ive been doing that a lot lately.
Anyway, Ill get to the point. I lost my son last May to sids when he was 2 months old. I found out I was pregnant the beginning of June and was super excited until 7/4 when I had a gush of brown blood. I went to the hospital and they checked me out and said the baby was fine and had a strong heartbeat. She said I had a uti but couldnt explain the brown blood. She said it may have been implantation blood from weeks before.I was 9 weeks then Well she gave me meds and everything was ok, but then last Thursday I had some brown spotting again. Since then Ive been obsessing over there being something wrong. I go tomorrow for my first appointment and Im freaking out. Im so scared something is going to happen to this baby. This is my fourth pregnancy and Ive never freaked out like this before. Im scared to be excited...if that makes any sense.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board! I hope you find help and comfort here. I'm new here as well and I've been spotting quite consitenty thus far (I'm 7 1/2 wks). My appt last week showed everything was well, but it doesn't help the fear. I think fear is pretty common around here, and hopefully with time it will fade away for all of us.

i hope this pregnancy is uneventful for you.
As for the brown blood - I was always told brown is old blood, so as hard as that is to do, try not to freak out if you can.

Like many PP said, brown is usually old blood. FX for a positive appt. I spotted for 3 weeks in the beginning of this pregnancy, and now I'm 38w3d and little man is doing great.
