For mobile users: For those that have hosted a baby shower
What did you spend and did you have other hosts as well? We have I think 4 hosts total for the shower I'm doing and I have spent about $175 on her gift, including a diaper cake I ordered for her. The shower is at someone's house so we don't have to rent a space and I think we will do finger foods so we will each bring something once we have an idea of the number of people coming. So the actual shower isn't something I will have to spend money on.
One host is doing invitations, one is doing decorations (which will likely be minimal) and I'm doing the centerpiece (the diaper cake) and then the other I don't know what she is doing.
I figured since I'm not having to spend money on a space to rent, etc. then I will do more for her actual gifts. I'm also going to buy her favorite book for guests to sign best wishes in (a book to read to the baby I mean) and with what I will need to buy for my portion of food to take, I will spend about 25 more or so. I'm thinking it will be at least 200 for it all - gifts and all. Probably more because I want to get her a gift card for her to get her hair done before the baby comes or a pedicure or something. So probably 250. I don't think it is a high amount but I'm not sure. She's my best friend for over 20 years and this is her first child so I want to spoil her!
Thanks for any input!
