Visiting family...where to nap?

I'm attempting to map out next week's holiday madness but I have a sleep question. We're going to DH's aunts house Christmas Eve after church. We'll probably stay until about 9:30-10pm (its our only time with DH's family). I know DS won't make it that late, probably zonk out around 8-8:30pm. Where do I put him? I don't want to drag the pack-n-play (no room), I certainly can't put him on the bed (he'll wake up and start crawling), other than me or someone else holding him, are there any other options? Any of you come up with any tricks for sleeping at a non-equipped house?

Re: Visiting family...where to nap?

  • I'm bringing a mini travel crib to my aunt's house, but that's because we'll already be spending a few days away from home. Otherwise, I would probably have DD nap in my sling. Is that an option for you?

  • Now that DS is crawling, we'd have to take the PNP anywhere we go.  I can't fathom what else to do with him during naptime.

Can you strap it to the roof or something?

  • Laundry basket? lol I Dont know

The issue is there really isnt room for it at the house. Its a pretty small house and a lot of people. I may be able to squeeze it into a bedroom if I can't come up with anything else.

Ha! You know what, that's not half bad.

You're right...it just might. It has holes, its compact. Pad the bottom and you may be on to something.
