BTDT: Tylenol / Motrin

I'm taking 2 tylenols and 1 Motrin every 4 hours and am wondering if BTDT cs moms have been taking similar quantities and for how long. Today is the 3rd day for me. TIA

I took percocet/motrin for a few days after coming home, then switched to tylenol/motrin. It's different for every woman, and there is no need to be in pain.

I took percocet/motrin interchangeably every 4 hours for about a week. After that I was taking the motrin when needed. Everyone heals differently though so take it as necessary to be able to take care of your baby.

THIS! I came home with Percoset and they emphasized taking motrin also to help with the inflammation. I think I took the Percoset/motrin combo for 2 weeks.

While in the hospital, I was given Norco (mini-vicodin) and IBP, rotating every 3 hours. When I got home, it was Tylenol and IBP. I tried to wean myself early because I felt great, and that was a mistake. I recommend taking your meds for at least 3 weeks, and then keeping some on hand for spot treatment afterwards, My back hurt for another week.

I took 1000mg of Tylenol every 6 hrs and 600mg of motrin every 6 hrs. So basically every 3 hrs I took something for about 3 weeks. Short term use like that will not hurt you unless you have liver issues or stomach ulcers.

I also was on narcotic pain meds for 2 weeks. It hurt. I am hoping it will not be as bad the second time around

I was on 2x500g tylenol and 1x500g naproxen, alternating every four hours for the first 3-4 days. Started spacing them out after that and was down to just tylenol as needed in the second week.
