I'm really not sure what age gravity starts making sense to them, I don't think we're there yet. But kids are very very resilient! I remember freaking out when J banged his head into a wall for the first time when he was cruising and fell. Now it's a miracle if they don't both hit their head that hard or harder every hour.
I watched this, too! It was super interesting. They demonstrated with babies of different ages crawling across a plexiglass floor. It wasn't until they reached a certain age - and I don't remember what it was, either - that they would stop before crawling where they couldn't see the floor anymore.
