AW: late bloomer!

LOL, so I know most of your babies hit this "milestone" months ago, but DD just crawled for the first time yesterday!  The pedi told us to contact her at 11 months if she wasn't showing some sort of mobility, so DD just made it in under the wire.

Of course my mom was watching her while H and I were out when she performed this amazing feat, but she videotaped it for us.  Now, E is in full on sick baby mode and won't let us put her down to see it for ourselves.

Any tips on baby proofing a home that has random 2-4 steps all over the place?

  • Way to go, E! So exciting!

Are the steps carpeted or hard floor?

Oh of course! I was going to recommend letting her figure it out if the stairs were carpeted, but I don't know about hardwood.

  • Yay!! Mobile babies are fun but sooo much trouble!!
Can you gate off a certain are like the family room that LO can play in worry free?? We only have one baby proofed room that Wyatt can play in with minimal supervision, meaning there is nothing he can get into or hurt himself on. In the rest of our house he needs to be watched like a hawk.
