good toys for 4 yr old interested in tennis & lacrosse?

DS is very interested in both tennis & lacrosse but I feel like he is still so young for the hand-eye coordination for both...when i look online for related toys they are geared toward older kids. I loved the scoop ball set when i was a kid but prob older than that... Any ideas?

We have both...I meant more like similar to tennis/lacrosse, like kid versions or good recommendations of items.

  • They have kid size tennis racquets and different types of balls that are intended for younger ones.

We have bought a set at Target and another at sporting goods stores also.  If you go to Target there are charts and things that will help choose the right products if you don't know which to get (have them try it out to see because charts are general, not based on your actual kid :) )  If you go to a sporting goods store theoretically there should be someone who is knowledgable to help you out.  The very first racquet we bought had a little booklet attached that had different ways to practice/play if you're not sure where to start.

We also found smaller lacrosse things at Target but I don't remember how or where.  I know that we once bought a variety box set of sporty things there and lacrosse was a part of it...but we have a smaller set from somewhere as well. They don't really do official lacrosse-like things but they like to try it out.

  • We got a set of small nets and inexpensive lacrosse sticks last summer. K had no problem handling it and playing with her sisters and I liked that it was a kid sized set. I think Walmart had them.

  • Our just turned 3 year old plays badminton and we also bought a scoop/ball game (called Hi Li I believe?) and he is actually pretty good at both so I think it's worth a try!
