What ever happened with good ol baby powder to keep babies dry? Is it not rec'd anymore? LO has tiny sweat pimples btw her rolls and I think she could benefit from some powder...
It's not recommended because it can cause lung issues. If you do use it, keep it away from baby's face and reach. Store it where baby can't get into it also.
Wow..I didn't know this! We don't use baby powder, but still that's crazy.

I don't want to sound alarmist, because I don't think it's a huge issue. Just....why use it if there is even that possibility? The benefits don't outweigh the risk to me.
I used it once at the beach. Another board told me to use it for getting sand off. It worked really well, I got all the sand off his butt before changing him back into a regular diaper. I don't use it the rest of the time.

I agree. I'm like that with a lot of stuff.
Someone told me to try a little cornstarch, but then I read if there's a fungal issue, the cornstarch will feed the fungus and make it worse. So, IDK.
"A new baby is like the beginning of all things--wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities."
I don't use it and never have. I dislike the smell and dustiness of it. I've never used it on my kids.
Now they claim it can cause respiratory issues.
I know that some people still use it on babies...it's their decision.
