Stripe? Trilaminar? - FET Monitoring Questions

Okay, so today (CD 13) my lining was up to a 6.5 and my estradiol is at 88. I have two follicles, one at 11, one at 15. They don't want to do any estrogen supplementation. RE today did say, "There is that good stripe we are looking for..." when he looked at my lining...what's the stripe? He said I'll go in for the next couple mornings for more monitoring.

Does this sound good - can anyone clarify for me what a "trilaminar" lining is, and what "triple stripe" means?

Also, does anyone know if my lining needs to get to an 8 before TRIGGER? Or does it just need to get there before TRANSFER? I feel pretty confident that I will get up to 8, since in the past three days I came up to a 6.5 from a 4.5).

I really appreciate any help you can give me understanding this process. My regular nurse just went out on an early maternity leave, so I haven't been able to talk through a lot of the questions like I normally do (yes, that's right, my IVF nurse was pregnant and just left to have her baby!)

FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014

    I always had crappy lining issues, so the most I know about triple stripe is that it is an ultrasound term to describe the appearance of the layers of uterine lining.

    Different REs have different cut-offs, but you'll need to make it before trigger, as progesterone will actually make your lining compress back down.   GL!

    Trilameter is the triple layers of your uterus, it means great quality. My re will take a thinner lining being trilameter. It's kinda like quality over quantity. I always thought that progesterone actually helped your lining thicken. But I do think your lining should be a 8 or close to it at trigger. Best wishes and good luck to you!!

    On 10/23/13 Baby Sophie and Baby Gabriel born at 21+5 weeks. They grew wings and flew away from us. May God bless them always. We love you beans!

    I'm not sure...because its a natural cycle FET? Anyways, I'll be asking my doctor tomorrow about if its too late to add in some Estrace, etc. thanks for the explanation!

    Thank you, Crystal. I think the best thing I've heard all day is reassurance from you that you think I'll be at an 8 by trigger...you know more about lining than most gals. I've been feeling worried, but this makes me feel better. More monitoring tomorrow. We will see what the RE says....
