Birthday evites? Opinions please!

I finally got around to ordering Gabriel's invitations.  Yay!  Here's the thing: we've been invited to all of Gabriel's friend's birthday parties (all 4 of them, lol) and they have all been some form of e-invitation (2 evites, an email, and 1 via postmark).  While I'm not a huge fan of these e-invitations, it sure would make my life a whole lot easier to send our invites this way, and these mom's obviously don't care.  Since I am getting a digital file from etsy, I think it would be pretty easy to email, and I would still be able to print some for keepsakes.  What say you, A12 bumpies?

Re: Birthday evites? Opinions please!

  • I sent mine via text. I'm not that formal. I've done all of Nene's bdays that way because her bday is when school is out. I have no issues but I know done bumped are a but more formal than I.

  • I'm considering doing the same thing so it's fine IMO.

  • I think I would just do the digital. Saves paper, saves money, saves time.
  • I think people are more likely to notice an invitation if its an evite and more likely to RSVP if its by email!
  • We're doing e-vites for everyone, and then we'll send paper ones to grandparents and close family because they'll have pictures.

  • I'm broke and I was browsing te Evites and saw a really cute one. We aren't inviting a lot of people that we wouldn't otherwise invite by word of mouth normally so I'm actually leaning towards that now. I say an evite would be ok.
  • I personally hate evites. I think that there is huge room for error and not everyone has a computer that I would be sending invites to. I just feel like mailing them snail mail would be more reliable.

  • Do it!  I made some cute invites on snapfish (not ordered yet), but now I'm considering just doing an evite.  Much easier IMO and you know your friends and family won't mind.
  • I think an evite is fine. You can print and mail a few if you have relatives who don't email (or aren't fond of it). But I have never sent paper invites for any of DD's parties and won't for DS's this year either.

  • I sent ours via evite. It's so much easier and then you know who's gotten them, if they've seen them, and you can send out reminders for RSVPs.

  • I did paperless post which is just a prettier evite. My friends will see it better that way and we don't have any older family on this coast to invite!
