Desperate! DD 22 m/o and so clingy with me

im so exhausted and desperate for advice. DD has always been a momma's girl but the past 2 weeks it's gotten really bad. She cries when I leave the room, she cries if she thinks im not coming in the car with DH, she cries when I put her to bed and leave the room. I feel like she cries "mommy!" all the time. She goes to daycare fulltime and is fine there but as soon as I pick her up and on the weekends it's non stop clinging to me.

I'm so drained and I don't know what to do.

Any advice on how to help her get past this?

    My DD is the same way. It comes and goes though. But i agree it is exhausting! If im around i HAVE to do everything or she freaks out terribly. Even when I shower she sits on the floor and talks to me. But on the other hand if Im not around its like I dont exist. She is perfectly fine. So I try not to worry and hope that when she is a bit older she will grow out of it.

    it's a phase which should let up in a year or so. at least this was the case with us. my girl is still very much a momma's girl, but she's become a lot more independent lately too. I just gave her as much attention as I could whenever she got like this, telling myself it won't last forever. it's tiring, but it shouldn't last forever.
