Overnight Trip Ideas

My mom and I are wanting to take an overnight trip somewhere in Minnesota.  We are looking for something that would be fun for us as well as my almost 3 year old son that will be with us.  I love in southern MN and my mom is in central MN.  Anyone have any ideas of some place fun to go?

    Stillwater is always a great overnight trip.  They have a ton of places to stay.  If your LO is good in a stroller, he can just ride along while you guys shop, and there are fun outdoor things for kids to do as well.

    There is a lot to do around the twins if you're not wanting to shop.  Children's Museum, Science Museum, Ft. Snelling, MOA Aquarium, Como Park, (in a month) MN State Fair, County Fairs, etc.
