I hear the air conditioner, the white noise machine, and my H's awesome snores. Adding some of my own snores would be good right now.
Thankfully the crickets are outside!
In college, my roommate and I had some pretty hilarious, panic stricken cricket chases when one would somehow get into our room. Jumping insects are hard to catch!
Damn quiet it's like all we hear are crickets.
But I we're playing the "what do you hear" game then I will join in and say DSs AC fan that I will probably turn down as soon as I am done posting.

I always pronounce that word wrong. How do you pronounce it? I want to say "sa-kaydas," but I'm sure that's wrong.
I think that IS how you're supposed to say it! That's how I say it too.
You've essentially got it right, but you have to make sure you scream it. At regular decibel levels it's meaningless.
Also, yes, they love it here. The heat makes them horny, you hear their godawful buzzing noise from march until November. Hearing it makes the temp seem even higher, if that makes any sense.
