Pack n play infant happier

My son just hit 15lbs 3 oz.. He still sleeps in his pack n play on the top part of it.. I heard that some are rated for 15lbs.. Does anyone else still sleep their baby on the nipper part? If so how much does your baby weigh? I just don't think I'm ready for him to go into his crib

Re: Pack n play infant happier

  • Ugh stupid auto correct.. I meant napper and not happier or nipper

  • Do you mean the bassinet part? The napper isn't really for night time sleep. Anyway, DS is still in the bassinet part but hasn't  hit 15 lbs. yet. If you're  not ready for him to be in his crib, can't you just put him in the bottom of the pnp?
  • I'm sorry maybe it's the bassinet that I mean.. It's the part that is suspended higher up rather than the bottom of the pack n play. I could drop it down however I am pretty short and it will be hard for me to bend down to pick him up at night! Thanks for your input
  • I'm not sure what you're asking but if your PNP bassinet portion is only rated to 15 lbs then it's time to stop using it. I doubt it's going to drop him at just over 15 lbs but they get heavier quick! My LO hit 15 lbs at around 3 months and I was very sad to stop using mine but I could see the pull on the side seams.

  • If he hit the 15 lbs. then try to place him in the bottom part. You mentioned that you think it will be difficult to take him out of it but just try and see what is really going to happen! I recommend (specially now that your son is heavier) to use the MamaDoo Kids mattress topper for extra comfort and support. Our son loves it! It has the perfect firmness and folds in 3. Also it can be used in many other ways.
