Acne/busted in the face!

I'm seriously looking sooo busted with acne all over my face. It's so gross! I have over 100 pimples! My skin has always been clear prior to pregnancy. Any suggestions on what natural things to use to try to improve it? I know sacyclic acid and benzoyl peroxide are no nos. Right now I'm using belli products but they are doing nothing. And weleda face lotion but its definitely not helping.

Re: Acne/busted in the face!

  • I've been using St. Ive's and it's been working nicely. Not as great as the stuff with the sacyclic acid, but it's decent enough. Other than that, I just try not to wear makeup as much anymore.
    Welcome Lily Anna!

  • Second the St. Ives. Also try not to wear makeup.
  • I've been using clindamycin prescribed by my dermatologist. It's been working pretty well. I also use the belli face wash though too.
  • I think you actually CAN use benzoyl peroxide and sacylic acid. I asked my doc and she said it's fine. I use Proactiv twice a day and it works.

  • My doctor told me not to worry about sacylic acid so I still use it. It helps a lot. She said its only harmful when ingested or if I rubbed it all over my body and let it soak in.

  • Mario Badescu products...I have the buffering lotion and it works for cystic acne, probably regular acne too. You can order online and Nordstrom carries it.
  • I haven't found anything that's worked for me yet unfortunately, but just wanted to say I can relate. My skin has been terrible, with cystic acne even popping up now and then. Ugh!

I still use benzoyl peroxide and it's working well. Dr. told me it was fine!

  • Have you tried Epsom salt?
