Give DS water? Or Juice?

I havent started the sippy cup yet but am thinking about it because he is so good at holding his own bottle.

Im not sure about starting juice because of how much sugar it has in it. What about water?

If you did give DC juice, at what age did you start?

you could do watered down juice. like 1 0z of juice to 4 oz of water. or just do water.

Do water. I didn't give dd1 juice until she was 2.

Pedi said to do juice/water at a 50/50 ratio because of constipation. He said the same number of oz for each month after 6 months of age - so 6 oz/juice for 6 month old (plus 6 oz of water). That's A LOT - DS never took that much. And it can't replace formula/bm.

If you give 100% juice there is no added sugar. My DD doesn't really like juice, so I gave her water. The idea of giving them juice is so they will like drinking from the sippy. Juice tastes good so they will want to drink it on their own.

We just started. We give ds 50/50 juice water, but no more than 2 oz of each. My ds is a little younger.

My DS only drinks water. It took him a little while to get used to the sippy cup but now he really loves drinking water. When I gave him juice, he didn't drink it any more happily than he drank the water so I just continue to give him water.
