Where is everyone?

I'm getting DS down for a pm nap and then doing some light cleaning and keeping DD busy. Maybe some backyard pool play since its so hot today and I'm sure whole world is at the beach.
What are you all up to???

    DD and I just got home. She's napping and I'm having some coffee. I can already tell I need an early bed time tonight!

    DH's vacation is over, so I'm on my own today and tomorrow. I'm mostly trying to get stuff done inside, I did let the kids play in the front yard for a little while earlier. I also took the kids to the store and got more stuff for DD's party, which is two weeks from today.

    I might go to bed and read, i am feeling sleepy already and might go to bed soon. We were at the beach earlier, will likely go to the beach tomorrow too.

    Whaaaa? How is one supposed to endure a wedding otherwise? Good luck, cheerilee! 



    Thanks! The grooms parents hate the bride so refused to pay a dime toward the wedding. The grooms friends also dislike her. The bride thinks she's the sh!t and is a gold digger. She'll also hate my dress is white with huge black flowers because that's how she is.

    Oh, and because she hates a groomsman's girlfriend, she addressed the invite to him only. They live together and have been together for 10 years...

    Wow, she sounds like a treat! I'm always surprised to hear about couples that get married when someones family and friends don't like their SO. I feel like it would be hard to maintain a relationship when you couldn't bring the other person around your family and friends without it being awkward and strained.

    We had a family thing this morning followed by a stop at IKEA.
    We'll do grocery shopping later and maybe watch a movie this evening.

    DS is down for his afternoon nap..late because we just got home from the nastiest bridal shower I have ever been to. Seriously, I feel like I should shower.

    It was in the slums, in a broken down, dingy VFW post, and there were people smoking in the room where there were multiple kids, including DS, and everything looked and smelled grimy. I had brought a blanket, thinking I would let DS sit and play, but when we pulled up, said blanket stayed in the car and DS had to sit on my lap for 2 hours. I'm exhausted.

    Whoa. I'm on mobile so I can't see where you're from but people still smoke indoors? Seriously. Gross.
