Painful gyno visit???

I'm 21 wks and was feeling a bit crampy- so decided to take a trip to the obgyn just to be safe. Thankfully, baby is fine & just some normal growing aches & pains. However, during my visit the NP informed me she was "busy" and jammed the speculum on and it was extremely rough & painful! I told her it hurt & she said it was because I was pregnant....has anyone experienced this?

    Things tend to be a bit more tender down there right now. I'd say it's pretty normal.

    The doc kept pressing hard today on my lower stomach. Now I have cramps and I'm wondering if that's why

    No one ever has the right to treat you roughly! That was inappropriate of your practitioner, especially when you are feeling tender your practitioner should go slow, use care and check in with you. That was NOT okay, and you should call them on it. If you don't get an acknowledgment and apology I would consider switching care providers.
