Nursing strike?

I know this has been covered, but I never paid attention to any of the posts because I thought "oh no, DS loves nursing, this will never be us..."

But now it is.  He hasn't nursed since 7 am.  I have tried about 4 times, every time he just bites.  I am pretty sure his two front teeth are coming in and bothering him.  

For other moms that have experienced this...how long did it last?  Any tips?  He doesn't take a bottle ( refuses) and won't drink breastmilk out of a sippy.  He is eating solids pretty good, so I am not super concerned, just wondering what to expect.

    Emery did this too, for a few days a few weeks ago. 

    I got engorged and it sucked.  He still nursed really well at naps and at night though, and he sleeps in bed with us so I just nursed him as often as he wanted at night.  Not sure if that's an option for you but it helped me know he was getting enough.  I also offered a lot of water and some juice in cups with straws.  I think his coincided with teething too.

    He's back to nursing normally now.  Big Smile

    Thats what I'm hoping, that he'll be too delirious at night to remember, lol.  He's been sipping on a cup of breastmilk, but he's being all dramatic about it, like it is just awful.  Oh well, he'll drink his water, and I guess I just have to break out the dreaded pump.

    Thanks ladies...he did nurse before bed....after a few bites.  I think the routine kicked in.  Then he nursed twice during the night, so we will see what today brings!  I am not ready to wean either, I really want to get at least 2 more months in.  We shall see.
