Fruit, veggies, lean meats, basically anything you can keep down. If you're lucky in that you don't have any food aversions, find the list of foods you shouldn't eat. I was surprised to find out how many foods are on that list.
Many women deal with food aversions or nausea in the first trimester, so often it's important to just eat what you can. Eating what you're able to keep down is better for baby than not eating at all. And remember, baby will get the nutrients baby needs; it's mom that will suffer from a poor diet. Take your prenatal vitamins and eat as well as you can; baby will be fine!

Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of beta-carotene, an antioxidant which the body converts into vitamin A, which aids the immune system and eye and bone health. They also provide a healthy dose of fiber, blood pressure-lowering potassium, and vitamin B6. Sounds pretty special to me!
Other great foods during pregnancy include spinach (lots of lutein), brightly and deeply colored fruits and vegetables, and anything with Omega 3s, like flaxseed oil, chia and hemp seeds and wild-caught, low mercury deep water fish for healthy neurological development.
