A little girl's file is being held for us while we wait on her blood work. Unless her medical report comes back with something very surprising (like, she's actually 5 years old or she is seriously developmentally delayed), we will be adopting a little girl from the Democratic Republic of the Congo!
We are trying not to get too excited until we have formally matched with her, but how can we not be SO EXCITED!?
Also, she's so beautiful. fwiw.

4/11 Started adoption process for 2 siblings through DCF. 10/12 Found out we are licensed! 12/14 Brought 3 week old identical twin girls home from the hospital. Could be at least until Summer 1015 til we know if they are forever ours
After 2 years of IF workups/treatments and 2 IUIs, we have closed the door on fertility treatments.
We are very excited to be pursuing international adoption from China!

Weeeellllll, we've been in process for over 1.5 years now, but we've been planning to adopt from Uganda. Our program has run into some problems (we started on our waiting list at #18 Oct 1st. By Jan 1st, we were down to #13, and we are still at 12 now!), and we really didn't set out to adopt so we could sit on a waiting list who seriously possibly two years (we were originally told 7-9 months).
So we are jumping ship to adopt a waiting child. Hopefully the transfer isn't to complicated; we will have to amend our homestudy and our I-600A to change from Uganda to DRC.
And I promise I'll give y'all the deets when we get them! We just have a picture, her birthdate (which I won't share until she's legally ours), and possibly her name? It seems unlikely that it is her real name, as it's neither French nor Congolese.
Adopted a baby girl in January 2013 via domestic infant adoption
