Missing sock mystery solved

I lost one of dd's cute socks and couldn't figure out where the heck it went. I thought maybe it got stuck inside something else and would eventually turn up. Well, I washed the fur covered dog bed today. When I wiped the dog hair out of the gasket it is a front loader I found the sock! Unfortunately it is now a nasty grey color. Gross. It is going in the trash.

Re: Missing sock mystery solved

  • Our washer stopped working last weekend so we took it apart and found a sock would around the pump. It was a pain but I felt so accomplished!

  • I have always said the washer eats socks, and this adds more truth to my theory. ::::insert smiley::::

My dd is constantly losing socks. I am lucky when I am able to pair any of them.

  • We're always missing socks here. Doesn't help that DD is obsessed with them and putting them on her hands and feet multiple pairs at a time and then slips and slides all over the house! Forget the toys we have, between my pack of colored hair ties and the new pack of colored socks we picked up because she outgrew her others, she's entertained for hours!

That is crazy. I am definitely not competent enough to do that on my own. I would have paid a million dollars to a repair guy and then been really mad when he found the sock. Hah

My dd is obsessed with her shoes. She grabs them and carries them around if she is not wearing them. A girl after my heart... She can say the first "s", but the second comes out as a z. "ShoeZ" it is super cute.

That's very cute! I just love how they pronounce things now, it's hard to not encourage things that are incorrect when they're just too cute! Instead of replacing the "s" with a "z", my DD just leaves them out. Hence "nose" is a very long "noooooo". Also, not the same but still funny, both the scrape on her knee and my chest are referred to as "boo boo".

I definitely gave up on socks as soon as it was warm enough to do without.  They were constantly getting lost!  But she is a shoe addict as well.  Loves her shoes!  Her favorite is to only wear one shoe - you can't put the other one on and you can't take the one off.

I wish it were socks we were missing

..hell I can't find half of his wardrobe lol

..I know the washer didn't eat it but damned if I know where me or hubby put all this stuff.  Living in an apt with limited space and storage can make things interesting at times and with us both working full time and no day care.. sometimes chores slide and you get to it later...  but I sorted out all the clean laundry baskets and took his stuff out..and still no idea where the hell half of his clothes are.

Time for some spring cleaning before I find them and he has outgrown it all anyway lol.
