Hi all! I know I haven't posted much but wanted to thank you all for the support and entertainment these past 9 months.
Liam Michael was born 7.10.13 at 1:16 pm. It all started the night of the 9th. I had a gush of fluid at the grocery store, but didn't think much of it and waited to see if it happened again. I woke up at 4 am to another gush but no contractions so we decided to wait and go to ld around 7. We get to triage and she checks the fluid and it tests negative for amniotic fluid. She said it could have been a high leak but my water was still in tact. I wasn't having any contractions at this point and had been 4 cm since the day before. We get home...disappointed and my husband takes off for work 45 minutes away. My water then unexpectedly and obviously breaks 2 hours later and the contractions came on fast and furious. My mom drove me to the hospital and due to my pain and how close the contractions were i knew she thought i was going to deliver in the car...i think i traumatized her. By the time I got to the hospital they were on top of each other and a 10/10 pain wise. I was cussing and yelling...the whole nine yards. I had lost all ability to cope. They checked me and I was 6 cm...the nurse decided to call the OB right away and I was begging for an epidural. My OB arrived 30 minutes later and I was 8 cm. It was the most excruciating experience of my life. I think I would have been able to cope if I would of had a break between contractions, but everything was too intense and too fast. I was completely afraid I wouldn't be able to get the epidural. Finally the anesthesiologist arrives. He had to try to place my epidural 4 times and at this point I just wanted to sob...finally it worked and the pain started to fade. My OB checked again and said I only had a tiny lip. She had a csection scheduled and when she came back 30 minutes later I was complete and his head was right there. I pushed for 10 to 15 minutes and he came out screaming! 7 lbs and 5 ounces and 20 inches long. He is perfectly healthy and I only had a first degree tear with a few stitches.
Afterwards I was completely embarrassed and felt guilt about how I dealt with the pain and the scariness of the situation. I apologized to the nurses for my yelling and cussing, but I know I didn't have any other way to cope...other than the really fast and painful birth experience recovery had been way better than my first and I am in love with baby Liam.
Thank you for reading and congrats to all the new moms and to all the moms that are set to deliver soon!!!

Re: Precipitous birth story
Sorry! I forgot that part. He made it just before I got my epidural...thankfully! Poor man...he walks in and all I can murmur is don't talk to me.
Thank you!!
Thank you!
Thank you! I think if I ever have a baby again stil undecided we will have to live at the hospital the last few weeks...just kidding, but I might have to invest in some pain management technique programs or something. Contractions with little or no breaks are no joke!
My first was about 4 hours and was very similar as well. I tried to prepare myself for this one, but I wasn't....I hope you have an enjoyable birth experience!!
Thank you! I wondered what the other moms must have thought with all my yelling lol. At least no one tried to tell me to be quiet.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Thank you. I yelled too during transition. It was definitely hard to hold back when those contractions were one minute apart and intense! I'm trying to get through labor this time without scaring the other women in the maternity ward lol. Enjoy your cute little baby boy!
Congrats! Beautiful boy!
