First of all, hahahahaha!
I went to Taste of Chicago today and Humana was doing this passport activity to encourage healthy food choices and walking. I got a free pedometer AND got a free BMI scan. I was cracking up and made the trainer lose it. I walked in the tent and said "let's get crazy, I'm 20wks pregnant!" He just started laughing and was interested in what my results would be.
I'm not the best eater but I do get my goods in and walk everyday. So overall Ive gained about 18lbs making me 148. My little body fat picture showed 40lbs in my abdomen area and then also the weight of each leg and arm. It was really neat to see and I did not feel bad about seeing what I look like. The scan also told me that 72lbs were water. So cool! Overall I was 5'3 and still in a normal range.
What a good laugh! Anyone else do a BMI while preggers?
Re: Pregnant BMI
I don't think she was taking it to find out anything serious. She was just curious what it would say/look like since she's pregnant.
This is what I kept in my head the entire time, lol. Got my passport stamped and rode an exercise bike to fill a cup of water. Very cool!
Yes and yes.
My company requires a fitness test which for me was 1mo pp with DD. Most everything was returning to normal, but my cholesterol was sky high. Apparently it's natural and all that fat is good for baby's brain (EBF). My BMI was higher to start for this pg than my 1st, but at 20w it's the same. Body may have a "preference"
