Noisy neighbor kids. Am I over reacting?

So I live in a small plan and this lady lives next door to us w/o her kids. Last month one of them shows up on a Sunday night with friends and were in the pool laughing and talking REALLY loud at 2:00am. I've already listened to them for all those earlier hrs trying to sleep with cotton in my ears..lol.

I storm out on my deck but of course chicken out and said can you please keep it down I get up at 5 am for work.

Fourth of July same thing. Didn't say anything but still had to work next morning.

Last night...again...he came over with friends at 10:00 and finally at 1 I turned on the back deck porch light and they quieted some. Am I be unreasonable! I need my sleep. Friday and Saturday fine but during the week? I hate causing trouble...ugh. Should I talk to mother when I see her outside?? These pp are just plan weird.

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    I don't think you're being unreasonable. In fact, I think it's outrageous that as the parent, your neighbor doesn't ask them to keep it down. I'd recommend calling the local law enforcement the next time it happens, and ask that they come out and talk to the neighbor kids about noise disturbance. The kids won't get in trouble, per se, but it might just turn their switch enough that they keep it low going forward...no kid wants to answer to law enforcement. :)

    Becky...not unreasonable at all. I would call the police, then you don't have to be the bad guy.....it could have been anyone in the neighborhood that called. Weird people need to be dealt with!!!1 LOL

    IUI Clomid #1 Feb 2011...BFN..damn it!
    IUI Inject's #2 Apr 2011...CANCELLED...low estradiol
    IUI Inject's #3 June 2011...BFN
    IUI Inject's #4 Sept2011...BFFN
    Lap Dec 2011...severe endo..cyst removed..some remains...
    IVF#1 Apr 2012 ....cancelled due to over suppression
    IVF#2 July 2012....6 follies...only 1 retrieved....BFFN
    surgery suggested to move ovary to an better placement but....we moved two time zones away and are financially and emotionally empty

    Not unreasonable. I would talk to the neighbor or call the police non emergency number. Sometimes when my neighbors are loud I sleep with my iPhone on to drown them out.
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    Hi stranger! Nice to "see" you. Hope you are doing ok :)

    The mom knows we have issues with her. They also made tracks in our yard without asking us first for their pool....some pp! I hate making confrontations but MH doesn't..lol

    I would speak to the mother first.  She has to know in the back of her head that it is disturbing, perhaps you just mentioning something will be enough.  To make your words stick, ask that if the kids come over on a "school night" that they be mindful of the time and not even use the pool perhaps after 10/11pm.  Otherwise, if you only call the cops, they won't know expectations and think that midnight might be acceptable!
