Success after IF

What a day!

We had our RE appointment today and it was better than I expected for now. We only have about 6 million sperm total but he thinks we should try IUI in Sept/Oct rather than IVF/ICSI. I have to wean LO in thenext 2 weeks and then start back on DHEA and I'll likely be on menopur at the time. If that fails, he wants DH to go on a pump for his hormones but that will take another 1-2y....

Then we came home and listed our house for sale. The market dropped in the last month and so i dont think well get what we were hoping for.

I have so many mixed emotions about everything. I just want a break from major life changes and to know that we are making the right decisions for our family with the move across the country. I'm sad to stop breastfeeding too but pumping at work isn't going well anyway... LO is also deteriorating with his sleep and I've only had 3-5h of sleep a night this week so I am tired and more emotional as a result. I just want reassurance and support from DH but he's now out for the evening.

Re: What a day!

  • Wow, what a day is right! I think that it is overwhelming with so much happening at once, however, that doesn't mean it is bad choices. You are making each one for a reason that works for your family! Hugs to you, and I hope it evens out soon. (& that you get some sleep!)

Thanks for the support everyone! Good news is I am now on vacation for 2 weeks. We go house hunting the first week and week 2 I am planning to try sleep training. Hopefully both make life a little easier!
