I'll just add that those women amaze me! Over the long 4th of July weekend, I desperately tried to keep the house in order, but by Monday morning, it was a complete wreck and I finally gave up. I worked only a half day Monday, so when I got home around noon, the nanny already had the girls clean and fed, asleep in their cribs, the house was picked up and clean, and I'm like "HOW DID YOU DO THAT???" Ah-mazing. Oh, and she's in her first trimester of pregnancy, so really, how did she do that??
I just had to go over there and look and now I feel like a loser. Yeah, Inbsp;got a to do list... It's usually, "Keep babies alive"!! Haaha!
This and add find time to go to the bathroom!
lol seriously.

honestly? yes. But, I think I'm crazy or a machine or something, lol! But, talk to me when my girls are mobile and I might be singing a different tune. I probably blocked out the ages of 12 months to 2 years old with my boys

I used to make to do lists, but I was never able to finish them. Then I'd feel like a failure, so I just stopped making the lists. Now I try to get as much done as I can, but I don't usually have a set agenda.

I have all of the housework split up through the month so I can get it all done without going crazy. And I am only able to get anything done because I have decent nappers and I trained them to sleep at the same time during the day.

I'll be a hybrid of SAHMand working Mom. my days will be work 10:30-7 (30 min drives each way) then take care of the twins when I get home until DH gets home between 4 and 6 pm (depending on where he's stationed at the end of the day) then sleep til 9:30
my "to-do" will be:
Try not to turn into a ball of stress Keep twins alive Do not kill DH try to keep the house semi-clean-ish
Eat your food people. You are pregnant, not made of glass. ~PrimRoseMama
I've always had a to do list. It's in Microsoft Outlook. But the past 4.5 years, it has included things like:
Make dinner
Baths
Take meds/supplements
Clean up the kitchen
I like being able to check things off.
Lol, Macchiatto!
I always have my post-it note on a counter in my kitchen and my irl friends rib me about it because it includes similarly simple items. Hey, giving more than 1 kid a bath IS an accomplishment!
ETA: I just checked out the SAHM board. Their lists aren't really that impressive. lol. They include things like "brush the dog's teeth" and "run the dishwasher". I feel better now.
LOL to all the PPs...I can so relate! I'll admit; I do write to-do lists b/c writing down what I have to do helps keep me from feeling overwhelmed. It usually includes things like "change out of PJs," "take meat out of freezer for dinner," "wash bottles," etc. but for the bigger things (like housework), I'll often write something down on Monday's list and then get to it on Friday etc. ~le sigh
And when I'm having one of *those* days, I'll write "Keep babies alive" on the list just so I can check it off and feel accomplished.

I do the same for the same reasons - it makes a day that seems like I have a lot to do feel a little bit more compartmentalized. Though this is PRE TWINS, we shall see post birth, I may have a list that is simply "make a to do list"
Maybe I should make the post baby lists now while I am on bed rest :P
