trying to make self throw up

When my DS is really upset he sticks his 2 pointer fingers in his mouth and trys to throw up. He has done this off and on for awhile. We usually get him to stop before he does vomit. Is this a normal sign of frustration? I know kids act out in all ways but curious about others who have gone through this.

    My DS sometimes does this also.  I think he just sticks his hand in his mouth for comfort and then ends up gagging himself.
