Ugh vent!

Can I be a dad for a day?

DH leaves for drill in a couple hours and of course I had to get up with the kids so he could "rest"!

WTF buddy don't you think I'm tired too considering you CHOSE to stay up until 1 am hanging out with a friend meanwhile I had a fussy teething baby! You are getting ready to leave which means I have zero help and zero downtime while you get to hangout and have adult conversation as well as sleep ALL night without interruption!

I'm not usually one to complain about DH but I am freaking tired and just need a break even if its only to sleep in an hour!

Vent over...off to finish laundry and do the dishes otherwise they wouldn't get done!

Re: Ugh vent!

  • I know what you mean. DH played golf yesterday, got too toasted to drive home and then proceeded to drink more and pass out on the couch. He has today off for LOs 1 year appointment and when I take LO in to wake him at 745 [45 min after she got up] he asks if I mind if he stays in bed until 830! What the F! I'm sorry but which one of us dealt with a clingy, fussy teething baby yesterday!? Ugh. I normally never need to vent about my H but good lord!

Sorry your H is sucking today too.

Ugh, I remember drill weekends very clearly. Yuck! I absolutely hated them and being completely alone all weekend, it was like our entire lives were interrupted one weekend a month. I couldn't wait for DH to get out of the military! Haha

  • Boo! I hate when they don't think about anyone but themselves. I also understand that the military can be a total B. Can you get a family member or friend over for a few hours this weekend so you can get a nap or a couple hours away? I'm sure they understand that it's tough to be alone with kids.

    I'll like you for always.
    As long as I'm living,
    my baby you'll be."
  • Ugh!  And to top it off, you are pretty pregnant too and need rest before baby arrives!  Sorry your H is being a waffle (is there a male version of this term?).

  • Thanks guys I was irrationally pissed this morning and DH definitely got the hint when he finally woke up! I was able to nap with the kids after he left so that helped!

My inlaws live 5 minutes from us but my Twatwaffle SIL ALWAYS drops her daughter off for the weekends or SMIL will go get her and the boys are chopped liver! It pisses me off beyond belief that she doesn't even try with our kids because no joke "they are boys and she doesn't bond with boys" but that's a whole different story!

I was really hoping to take them to Disney for the day tomorrow but of course it has to rain all effing weekend! If I wasn't pregnant I would be drowning my sorrows in tequila!

Jfresh I understand the having to leave at 3 am and I DREAD those weekends luckily he didn't have to be there until 1 but he is also a little over 2 hours from his armory. The national guard needs to get with it and put more armories in ::mobile smiley::!
