delamination!

Gah! My Bummis wet bag is already delaminating. He's only 4 months old, and we even waited a couple weeks til we started! Pretty disappointed in it right now.... especially since my Mommy's Touch (which was about 1/2 the price), shows no signs of this whatsoever.

I already contacted them, so we'll see what they say.

Wow, you line dried and it delaminated in that amount of time? I'd be upset! I hope they respond well and replace the bag.

I would try putting it in the dryer for a bit. I do this with my covers and th heat helps seal them back up.
I bought my wet bags from alva baby and they have been great. Super cheap too. I have 2 for the diaper bag and 2 pail liners. Love them all. He pail liners are listed as waste bags or something like that. They fit perfect in a small trash can.

What heat setting do you put it on? My dryer only has low and high... no medium. Although if I actually throw 2 days worth of prefolds in the dryer, it'll take 75min on high for them to dry. And some of them still end up slightly damp.

Yeah. I've had three, yes three, Bummis wet bags delaminate. The original and both warranty replacements (they don't normally replace a warranty replacement, but mine delaminated after 3 or 4 washes). I don't get it. I rarely use them and never put them in the dryer. Weirder still, I have several Bummis covers that are going strong after over a year of constant use.

Is yours by any chance the green print?

Yes it is! I have two of the small wetbags also, and they are just fine for now. Granted, they are not used and washed as often as the large one.

Okay...that supports my suspicion that there is something seriously wrong with the Bummis green fabric. MK had a green Super Brite delaminate a few months ago and all three of my delaminated bags are green. None of my pink or white covers that I've been using all the time for over a year show any signs of delamination. Plus I had a size small blue Super Brite that was fine.

Hopefully you can ask them to replace your bag with a different color!
