I have a breast friend and love it!! My girls are 9 months and we still use it daily. Standard boppies were a waste for me. Are you thinking the back strap would be weird? I really rely on the strap because the pillow pushes forward otherwise and drives me nuts. You could always just not strap it if you choose not to use it!
I love the my breast friend pillow! I have been tandem nursing with it from the start and my twins will be 5 months in a few days. I tell people all the time how helpful it has been. I also appreciate the back support. And once I get them both latched on I can have both hands to do whatever I want and let the pillow do the work.
I used the regular boppy for my singleton and it worked fine for one baby. I do not think it would work well for two.. haha.
Funny, I asked my midwife this question yesterday and she said she only recommends the My Breast Friend for twins...she said its the best quality and most practical one out there. She also mentioned it's very useful in Csection cases since you can strap it up higher and shield the incision from contact while you heal.

LOVE the Breast Friend twin pillow. I highly recommend it! If the back support bothers you, you can either take it off or put another pillow behind you on. Top of the back rest part so your whole back is supported.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2 After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I loved my My Breast Friend Pillow. I used it to attempt tandem nursing but we had non pillow issues (low supply, preemie who wouldn't latch, etc). I ended up pumping but still using the bottle to tandem feed. I held them in modified football holds with the bottle in my hand instead of using the breast. I loved it! and I didn't always use the back piece.
