Mobile: Met DD's new pediatrician today! Also, poo issues.

And I really think we're going to like her. Poor DD is having some SERIOUS issues going #2, and despite every intervention her previous pediatrician recommended (all the P foods, all the time, juice, water, laxatives), I'm still having a hard time getting her to go more than twice a week (and sometimes only once).

Cue her new pediatrician being totally chill about recommending more of a daily laxative, and explaining that DD may just be a very fiber-sensitive baby. She told me to call back in two weeks if we haven't seen any improvement. I took her in this morning, actually, because DD was having such a hard time that her little bottom looked all purple and strained. I was so worried. Turns out she is developing a tiny hemorrhoid But, her new pediatrician said if we can get her regular it will correct itself, it just might take a few months.

So, rough but promising day.

DD2 has issues similar. Only kid I've ever met who enjoyed a glycerine suppository! One of my favorite pictures of her is her sitting on the potty, holding a brand new container of suppositories and smiling like she just won the Olympic Gold in pooping. She still has to take fiber supplements and Miralax regularly, despite eating a high fiber diet. Good luck with everything, it is no fun at all when your baby isn't feeling well!
